About This Game
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden comes from an award-winning design team including former HITMAN and PAYDAY designers. This tactical adventure game blends turn-based combat reminiscent of XCOM with real-time stealth action to explore posthuman environments overrun with nature... and mutants.
Of course the world ends. It was inevitable. Extreme climate change, global economic crisis, lethal pandemic outbreak and growing tension between old and new superpowers all combined with nuclear weapon usage for the first time since 1945 in an armed conflict; mushroom clouds rose east-to-west before finally dissipating.
Now it is over and the Earth lies peaceful. Nature has taken control over crumbling cities; wind carries through empty streets that have now become graveyards.
Once humanity was lost, Mutants emerged. Scavenging through what remains is civilization are Mutants; deformed humans and animals alike searching for salvation or simply food sources to survive in. In order to survive you must venture forth to explore this mysterious Zone together with your companions.
Someday you might encounter the Eden of legends; where ancients found hope amidst hell. That is where truth lies waiting - perhaps that is where your answers reside?
